Though I haven't seen the Movie 'The Secret' - I have gotten glimpses
of what it is about and wanted to make some remarks. I have always had
a great propensity to have my 'dreams come true'. I'm just not certain
if how I accomplish that would be the same as the Movie espouses, but
did want to share how and why.
It wasn't until I was much older that I realized that I did make my
dreams come true. The main thing that stuck out was that when I was
young (sill in school) I used to think about having land/acreage that
I built on - a home, a sanctuary. And that it was something built
partly by my own hands. I currently live on land/acreage
now and my husband (and sometimes me) have physically built all the
structures (including the house) on the property. Almost solely so, too.
In other things - I used to see myself as the 'Seer on the mountain' long before I lived on the property. It may be a small mountain - but
I do live on a knoll on a mountainside. We are also in the process of
buying property in an area that is known for its mountains. And likely
will have mountainous acreage on whatever we decide to buy.
I am in the Graphics/Advertising/Design Industry and have been for
many years. But I started out as a Paste-up or Production Artist. I
used to see myself as lanky and slender and as a Design Artist. And
that is what I am today.
A few things about this. I do not sit and meditate or concentrate
about these things. I see them in a casual sense. They just 'are'.
Perhaps it is that I accept them as being. I also see them as good,
productive and something that should be. Perhaps for good health,
perhaps to help others, perhaps something that would make me happy
long term.
I also believe in step imaging. In other words, I see the steps that
get me somewhere. I didn't just see myself slender when I was heavy. I
saw the steps to take me there. I saw myself doing those things. That
IS something I was taught to do. Years ago. But it is also something
that is not forced or something I take a lot of time with. I just see
it. In other words, I don't try too hard, as they say. I don't try to
push anything. I truly do have a confidence that the right and best
things will happen.
The final thing, I think, is that one continues to envision. Some
things take years. Most people give up. If you are heavy today you
will not be thin tomorrow. But if you see yourself as thin and
envision the steps as you take those steps, I about guarantee you'll
get there. And you'll be happy and proud of yourself when you get to
that end, too, because it will not be temporal - it will last.
And one other thought. Something that has helped me tremendously. Is to
truly and deep down realize that the Universe loves you - as you are.
Just because you are, because you are alive, because you chose this
journey. If you can 'know' that, much of your life will fall into
place naturally and for the best.
